Hardcore Holly's music hit and he made his way to the ring. Stevie Richards, Shane Douglas and Kurt Angle all made their separate entrances too. The four men stood in the ring, looking intense and eager to impress. All four were making their debuts and were out to make an impression. The bell rang and their was a scramble. All the men dived on one another and it was hard to see who was in control. Stiff shots were thrown all over the ring and Holly caught Douglas with a stiff clothesline, knocking him down. Kurt Angle suplexed Stevie Richards only to be met with a clothesline from Holly as well. Holly was in control and he stayed that way for the rest of the match. He was head and shoulders above the rest of his competition and when he won, it seemed inevitable. He hit the Alabama Slam on Stevie Richards and covered him. 1...2...3. Hardcore Holly rubbed his hands together and wiped the imaginary sweat from his forehead before leaving the ring just as intensely as he had entered it.
Winner: Hardcore Holly
Reason: No other RPs, but a great debut! Nice to have you here :)
Match #2
Konnan made his way to the ring, accompanied by 3LK. Ain't No Stoppin Me hit and Shelton made his way to the ring alone. He still looked confident, despite the fact that he was outnumbered. The bell rang. Konnan v Shelton Benjamin was an awkward mix of styles. Konnan was using his traditional Lucha style against the young highflying style of Shelton Benjamin. Shelton was focused but seemed overconfident. His overconfidence had made him pretty unprepared for the lucha style. After ten minutes Konnan was able to lock into the Tequila Sunrise for a submission victory. He celebrated with Ron Killings and BG James as Benjamin slid out of the ring looking disappointed.
Winner: Konnan
Reason: Better RP.
Match #3
RVD stood in the ring, awaiting the arrival of the Undertaker. Nobody has seen The Deadman since his abduction at Aftermath, and they were anxious to see if he'd show up. Hell's Bells by ACDC started to play and the crowd cheered. But the Undertaker didn't step out onto the stage. Instead, Paul Bearer appeared, accompanied by an army of druids. RVD looked confused as Bearer made his way to the ring. He slid into it as the druids surrounded the ring. Paul Bearer had a microphone, and he spoke into it.
Paul Bearer: The Undertaker...is gone. He is dead, and buried. He won't be here tonight...or any other night. I, Paul Bearer, killed him. And very soon I will take over the EBWF...by force.
He let out a meniacal laugh as the hooded druids flooded the ring and swarmed around RVD, beating him down. Bearer cackled as he and the Druids left RVD lying on the floor, half-unconscious.
Winner: Nobody
Reason: No Roleplays/Storyline.
Match #4
MVP was booed loudly as he made his way to the ring. He didn't care. He was smug and continued being his usual cocky self. My Time Is Now hit and there was the ever-present mixed reaction as John Cena exploded onto the cage, draped in chain gang gear and saluting. He made his way to the ring and the bell rang. MVP was on top form, but that wasn't too much of a match for John Cena, who was looking to make his mark in EBWF and work his way up the card. MVP went for the Playmaker but Cena reversed. MVP was shocked and that gave Cena the advantage. MVP didn't know when to do when his signature move failed and he hesitated. Cena kicked him in the stomach and after several attempts earlier in the match, finally hit the FU. Cover! 1...2...3! Cena's arm was raised in victory.
Winner: Cena
Reason: No match focus in MVP's roleplay.
Match #5
Having just earned an EBWF World title match against Triple H, Jeff Jarrett was looking to keep up his momentum. He was cheered as he made his way to the ring, accompanied by Dusty Rhodes. He paced up and down the ring, awaiting the arrival of Paul London: the man who was in cahoots with The Miz. Jarrett seemed to want to take his frustration at Miz out on London, and London knew this, but didn't back down. The bell rang and the two locked up. Double J used his experience and knowledge to ground and pound Paul London. London fought back, using his high flying style. He fought to his feet and ran up the turnbuckle, flipping over Jeff Jarrett and dropkicking him into the ringpost. Schoolboy pin...1...2...Jarrett kicked out, getting back to his feet. London ran at Jarrett, who hit him with a drop toe hold before getting back up. Jeff picked up Paul London and hit him with the Stroke. Dusty clapped at Jarrett's quickness as the numnber one contender covered Lodon for the three count and the victory. He waited for the referee to raise his arm then broke into a smirk before gesturing to his waist.
Winner: Jeff Jarrett
Reason: No London RP.
Match #6
Samoa Joe came to the ring and then "Stand Back, There's a Hurricane Coming Through!" The crowd cheered as The Hurricane came out to the ring. They started chanting "Joe's Gonna Kill You!" But it was mostly for the fun of it. The match was a great back and forth battle, and when Joe picked Shane up for a powerbomb, Shane was able to wriggle out of Joe's grasp and landed a poorly placed kick to his head. Shane fell to the mat quickly. The lights dimmed and a spotlight pointed up to the rafters. The referee started waving his hands furiously, and Helms got in his face asking him what was wrong. The fans saw Sting in the rafters and cheered. Joe looked up to the rafters and then CHICK KICK. Sting's presence had distracted nearly everyone in the arena, and Trish Stratus had appeared from nowhere and kicked him. Trish bolted from the ring. Joe doubled over from the kick and Shane hit the Nightmare on Helms Street. The referee was confused. The crowd cheered and Helms went for the cover. 1...2...3.
Winner: Shane Helms
Reason: Better RP.
SEGMENT
After the final commercial break of the night, "Break It Down" hit and there was a mixed reaction as Triple H and Shawn Michaels stepped out onto the stage. They were in street clothes, obviously not dressed for combat. As always, Hunter carried the world title. He slid into the ring and Shawn followed. The pair were handed microphones and Triple H paced the ring, waiting for the crowd to die down before speaking.
Triple H: Well...it seems DX is standing out here looking sort of...well, naked. And not in the way the ladies like. We stand here without the tag titles, without Shawn's X-Division title, and to put it mildly we're a little bit unhappy about that. But not as unhappy as we are about Wes Ikeda's blatant disregard for his 2 top stars. Wes... are you gonna walk out here, so we can do this face to face, or are you gonna stay back there hiding behind your subordinates? Tick tock. We're waiting.
"Almost Over" hit, and Wes walked out onto the stage area. Wearing a black button up shirt, dark blue jeans, work boots, and a silver chain from his pants pocket to his belt loop. He removed his sunglasses, and the fans gave a mixed reaction his way as well. Hunter removed his sunglasses and tucked them into the collar of his shirt as he watched Wes intently.
Wes shrugged and before he could speak "Sexy Boy" hit. Shawn looked mildly confused and the fans were going wild. Wes laughed.
Wes Ikeda: Yep! Still mindless sheep! The same man comes out to the DX Music and gets booed. Anyway, I hit that real quick because I knew that was the only way we'd get a decisive pop. You uh, wanted to see me champ?
Triple H: Did I stutter? Yeah I wanted to see you. Don't feel like coming down to "your" ring today?
Wes Ikeda: Nah, I look good right here.
Triple H: Yeah...yellow's a good color on you.
Wes Ikeda: And gold on you sir. Sorry you have less of it.
Triple H: Cut the crap, Wes. You're not sorry for shit.
Wes Ikeda: When the FCC revokes my broadcasting liscense, the fight's coming to your door buddy.
Triple H: The fight's already at your door. You're done screwing with us.
Wes Ikeda: Or?
Triple H: Or? You're ballsy enough to find out?
Wes Ikeda: Well you can't touch me, so what's that leave sir? Your pride won't let you vacate your title and walk out of here.
Triple H: Vacate? Oh no, I wouldn't dream of it. But unless you want to see this around Vince McMahon's waist on Monday Night Raw, I'd be careful who you try to play.
Wes Ikeda: It'd be like you to run back to Daddy and let him milk the cash cow that is the EBWF.
Triple H: You think I'm shitting you, tough guy? Try me.
Wes Ikeda: Okay, go, be a slave. See if I care.
Triple H: This is one risky game of chicken on your part, buddy. You'd best remember, you don't own a single piece of DX. Not one damn bit. You don't own me, you don't own him, and you certainly don't have any power over the absentee third member of this legendary unit. They go where I go. And you can't afford to lose us. Who else do you have? Sick-Note Helms? "I need a month off" Jericho, or "show up when it pleases me" Hardy?
An "Alex Shelley" chant went up, and Wes smirked.
Wes Ikeda: I do own your contracts, and uh... I think that legendary third member would be pretty sad about losing everything she's worked so hard for.
Triple H: Not as sad as you'll be to lose your top stars. But that can all be avoided. It's easy, really. Just walk away.
Wes Ikeda: Hunter...
He paused. He was literally searching for words.
Wes Ikeda: What exactly are your demands?
Triple H: First off, you lift Kevin's suspension, because what you did to him was absolutely ridiculous, and petty. Secondly, we get our shot at the tag titles. Not tonight...not even next week...but whenever we feel the need to cash it in. And thirdly...
Shawn butted in.
Shawn Michaels: Thirdly, you find him a decent number one contender. Fighting Jarrett is kind of embarassing, don't you think?
Wes Ikeda: Look, you can barter for each other, but not for Kevin. This isn't 1996. Kevin is a big boy.
Triple H: Fine. Whatever, we get everything else, right? Then...everything's fine, for now. But you need to take a pretty big step out of DX's business.
Wes Ikeda: Hunter, you're overreacting.
Triple H: Not really. You've made a pretty obvious point of interjecting yourself in our matches. I'm just strongly suggesting that it stops.
Wes Ikeda: Again I ask you Triple H. Or? Wes now took a few steps down the ramp, and the fans came alive.
Hunter smirked and handed Shawn his world title. Triple H: Keep walking. I don't mind.
Wes Ikeda: Well at least your handing the belt to it's rightful owner. He stopped at ringside.
Triple H: What's the matter? Does your ball and chain not stretch any further?
Wes Ikeda: Your ball and chain stretches all the way to Texas. Shall I make a phone call?
Triple H: What for? I'm not the one on the leash.
Wes Ikeda: If I don't keep my nose out of DX's business, then... Wes took the stairs onto the ring apron, but didn't enter k
Triple H: Then I'm fucking done! You hear me, you son of a bitch!? I worked too long, and too hard to let you screw it all up.
Wes Ikeda: Get. Out. of MY ring.
Triple H: Come here...and force me out of it.
Wes cleared the ropes and he seriously considered attacking Hunter, but he stepped back. Wes Ikeda: Okay, you win. I'll stay out of your business, but only because... tonight's not the night to bury my champion.
Wes smirked and quickly slid out of the ring, walking backward up the ramp. Hunter and Shawn exchanged a half-confused look, and Hunter's eyes were back on Wes in a flash.
Triple H: What's that supposed to mean?
Wes shrugged. He spoke, but he didn't have a mic. His lips clearly read. 'Whatever you want it to mean."
