- Superstar Biography:
Gregory Shane Helms was born in Smithfield, North Carolina. After his family made their home in Cameron, Shane met lifelong friends Shannon Moore and Matt & Jeff Hardy. Though the WCW Powerplant takes credit for this extraordinary talent, like the rest of OMEGA, Helms is entirely self trained. He made his professional debut in World Championship Wrestling in 1999 and after a very brief stint in World Wrestling Entertainment debuted in EBWF in 2001. Known world wide as “Sugar Shane”, “The Sensation of Innovation” and of course “The Hurricane” Shane Helms, he has proven his staying power by continuing to rack up wins and titles. When not in the ring Shane can be found enjoying a good comic book or riding dirt bikes in the back woods of Cameron, where he still resides with his wife Trish Stratus. In December of 2007 Shane and Trish became the proud parents of a baby girl, Teagan Lily. .
